Kinks Award
Mark
Sisel, an employee at Manitowoc Motor Machining and Parts, Manitowoc
won the first place "Shop Kink" award at the recent
AERA
(Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association) International Tech Show held
in Dallas, Texas on April 5. His submitted entry was an adjustable
crankshaft. For his winning entry, he received an all expense paid trip
to the Dallas Convention plus a cash award. Roger Klump (right) of
Martin Wells, presents the first-place award to Sisel.
Perfect
Circle Names 1998 Machinist of the Year
Scott Wichlacz has been named
Perfect Circle's 1998 automotive Machinist of the Year. Wichlacz was
selected from a group of national finalists by a panel of automotive
business magazine editors.
Wichlacz is founder and owner of Manitowoc Motor Machining &
Parts, Inc. in Manitowoc, WI. He has passed all three ASE Machinist
Certification tests as well as other ASE automotive and heavy-duty
tests/ He is a board member of the Automotive Engine Rebuilder's
Association and the Wisconsin Auto Parts Association, as well as a
member of the Automotive Parts Rebuilder's Association.

Scott
Wichlacz receives Charles W. Yount Award
Scott was given the Yount Award
in recognition of outstanding service to the industry on December 1,
2007. The Charles W. Yount Award is named after the longtime AERA
supporter whose name bears the award. To receive this award the
candidate must be nominated by a previous winner of the Yount Award and
recommended to the Executive Committee.
